Sex & God by Linda McLean at The Warren: Theatre Box, Brighton Fringe  2016

6-7-8 May at 7pm

From renowned Scottish playwright Linda McLean, Sex and God sees an all-female cast weave four sharply emotional intergenerational monologues on faith, lust and family. It is a play that spans the twentieth century through the lives of four women of four generations. Their experiences of family, religion and ambition are shaped by the times they live in and who they live with. Jane, a kitchen maid, the first in her family to move to the big city for work; Lizzie, passionate but unskilled and permanently dodging poverty; Sally, an early school-leaver who tries to escape a dangerous relationship by working her way into a profession; and Fiona, first in her family to go to University and discover the world of bewildering choices.

"The international cast and crew of Cuts and Grazes successfully combine humorous exploration and harrowing physical interpretation to discuss female issues throughout the centuries." - Tess Van Leeuwen, All Guts No Glory
